I just came home from the orthodontist. Now I have separators.

To be honest I can't remember the last time I had anything that could count as candy (that's just a figure of speech it was actually about 9 months ago when I 'borrowed' some of my brother's Halloween Candy)

Anyway, what's the big deal about candy? I mean, sure chocolate is good, but it won't kill you not to have any. Are you not allowed to eat sugar, or just not allowed to eat certain foods that would get stuck in your separators?

Why? He can still drink chocolate milk for his sugar needs if it's just about the getting stuck in teeth thing

Chocolate milk comes from brown cows. There's no sugar added, duh.
