uh oh. Of course I have no idea yet but those words are usually the kiss of death for dial-up users like myself! I think I just eeked like a mouse..

lol, high five fellow person with slow internet, mine is 0.54 mb/s that's megabits not megabytes XD. my internet service provider updated something and now i can't play online games because they make my computer freeze, i also cannot play xbox online unless they live in the same city as me.

They would have to make a downloadable version, because if someone's internet is down, they can't work in Scratch.
Remember - EVERYTHING on the internet is downloadable somehow.

Yes, there will be a downloadable version of Scratch 2.0 for offline use.

You don't even need to run it in an SWF player, just open it in a web browser.
