scratch day

i really think that scratch day should go on for more than 1 day. if somebody missed it the first time, he/she has a chance to see it again. that kind of happend to me because back in april, i didn't know about scratch day but know i know its somtime around may 25. i asked someone about scratch day a week after and know i really wished it was longer.

thanks!  smile

<if> that happens
<say[ thanks  smile

Re: scratch day

You can always go next year  smile  Scratch Day will pretty much always be on the week of Scratch's birthday, which is in late May, I believe. Really, it wouldn't be Scratch "day" if it was more than a day  smile

The 3rd of August is only in 4 days...

(coolstuff finally has a sig  tongue )

EDIT: Oh, I completely forgot about the topic!

I wanted to go to Scratch day, but I was doing other things. Maybe they could change it to Scratch week or something, so that people could come and leave any time they want to during that week.

Re: scratch day

This is all true - but I do personally agree, that I wish we could have "Scratch Day" type of events at MIT for people in the area more often - rather than just one day, which more than the 200 people limit want to go to. Like once a month, or two months, people in the Boston area could go for a little meetup, called "Scratch Club", and people could share their projects, and as each month would be themed differently, the theme would decide what activity we would do  smile  - whether it's lego wedo, or pico boards, or greeting cards, and more! That way, the people who live far away but who are really dedicated can travel to Boston for the Scratch Day event, but can pass on the "Scratch Club" event.

What about Scratch days like once every quarter or third of a year.

Re: scratch day

I suppose it could go on for a weekend (saturday+sunday) instead of just one day, not too much extra work from 1 day.
