I'm perfectly happy how Scratch is right now except for one thing (besides the slow running speeds of course):
Someone out there please add a way to copy a selected SECTION of one sprite INTO another sprite PLEASE!
That way I won't have to use an outside sprite editor and import everything.
Thank You!

Umm, you know there's an option in each costume's context menu offering to "turn into new sprite". There also is another option in the stage's context menu to "grab screen region for new sprite". These two should actually take care of what you want to do without having to hack anything :-)

That's not the same as what I'm asking for. That's just copying a sprite.
I want to copy a specific section of one sprite (or "costume") and paste it into another sprite (or "costume").
Lets say I have a dragon that flaps its wings and swings its tail around.
I take one of those frames, copy and edit it so that the dragon also sprays fire.
But I want the rest of the animation to have the dragon spray fire too.
And I don't want to have to re-draw all the fire again.
So after copying the frames I want to be able to paste the fire spray into them,
effectively creating a new animation. One animation without fire, One with fire.
