Set instrument

The sound of a note doesn't change with "set instrument" in the Ubuntu version (I'm using Lucid, both from the live CD and Wubi)--but it does with Windows. Any thoughts?

Hmm, that's odd. Well, the Ubuntu version of Scratch is the newest and probably still has some bugs. I'm surprised that no one else has posted this before...

Re: Set instrument

The Ubuntu version, as I recall, has a lot of bugs in it... You may wish to pass this on to the Scratch Team. I know they've had some issues with MIDI sound on Ubuntu in the past, so that may be what you're experiencing.

Well, the system MUST have bugs because it's new.

I'm assuming by "the system" you're referring to the Linux version of Scratch. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's not actually all that new, but I think the main issue is that it's built for Linux. Scratch runs in Squeak, and Squeak isn't all that reliable on Linux.
