I've never heard of it. I'm in need of some chrome help too, actually. I can't seem to install any toolbars
Can you provide a link to lock? I want to try it outLOL! Toolbars don't install in
That's unfortunate. I'm used to the giant bulky toolbar filled IE.
And I don't think there's anything about Flock in the help center. I was there for a few hours trying to figure out product deletion, and I didn't see anything about it. It wouldn't hurt to look again, though
I don't think it's unfortunate at all. The point of Chrome is to have a really streamlined, fast, and minimalist browser that gets out of your way, and I love it. You really don't realize how annoying and space-hogging the bottom bar, extra toolbars, and menu bar really are until you don't have them anymore. But that's just me.
As for the speed issue, I suppose that's because the Chrome version of Flock is still in beta, thus it isn't optimized and still has some bugs to work out. (Just my theory.) Firefox is slow for me, but that's just because I have a ton of add-ons installed.

I understood a Bartender of what you're saying.

It could be, I haven't thought of that. Flock was designed to be a social browser after all, so it does contain quite a bit more stuff than the original Google Chrome, such as integration with social websites such as Facebook (which I use to contact friends and family in the Philippines).

Okay, changed some settings... huh, well whaddya know, stuff that runs slow in Firefox-based Flock runs faster in the Chrome-based Flock and vice versa. Weird.

Harakou, you're used to Google Chrome, but I'm not. That's why I miss the google toolbar
Sometimes, I download something just to have that bar down at the bottom. Yeah, crazy aren't I?
I understand that Chrome's address bar is also a search engine, but I never use it. i always hit the home page button and let Google find it

It runs as fast as Opera (which is REALLY fast) so I don't know why it's slow for you...
Well, as it says in my first post up there, I've configured my Firefox-based Flock to run faster; my guess, it's these configurations that make it faster than the Chrome-based version. Either that or Chrome hates Verizon DSL.
I kind of want to even the playing field a bit and see if I can get into Chrome-based Flock and get it to run faster than it's Firefox counterpart.![]()
You have slow, stops working when someone calls, DSL? Dx
I have Covad Communications (actually NetZero), and it's SLOW! GAHH
CURSE YOU 300KBPS DOWNLOAD AND 40KBPS UPLOAD SPEED!

Only 300? My ISP sucks, but the DLS is usually 2mbps

Well, I read half of this topic and fell asleep.
I'll try and help. Perhaps the two versions are getting into each other?
All I can think of...
EDITFlock is slower than Chrome on my computer...

Actually, my DSL connection still works even when someone is calling on the land line; the only thing it affects is the Juno/NetZero dial-up connection (which is horrendously slow).

Which version, the Chrome-based version or the Firefox-based version?
