I hate Safari too. And you need to actually click the game first and let it fully load

I encountered a problem with Firefox and another applet product recently that turned out to be the result of Firefox refusing to update itself to take the latest version of Java into account when I updated Java on a WinXP system. In the end, I had to completely remove the older version of the Java JRE that Firefox insisted on using in order to force it to upgrade to the latest version of Java.

I use Firefox 3 without a problem. It is possible that you do not have Java installed.

What version does it show you have?
If you don't have Java at all there is a link there to install it.
