I saw this a while ago, but I never got around to asking.
I was just wondering why Scratch has both Google Analytics and Quantserve running while you're browsing the forums or using the website.
Also this is my first post after a while of inactivity, nice to see all of you again

I'm not sure. They both serve the same purpose, right? So I don't see the point.
You miss my point
I guess I was unclear, why are either running on the Scratch website

I just checked what scripts are running when you are viewing a project. The result is somewhat disconcerting:
Why "getclicky.com", "addthis.com", and "clicktale.net" as well as the standard GA and Quantserve

They're running them so they can see how successful the Scratch website is, of course
It's pretty vital information so that you can adjust your website accordingly.
Of course, but I consider all websites like that invasions of the privacy. I like to be in control of what information websites collect about me. I don't want any website picking up all sorts of data about me just because I visit them.

It's not all that much information, really. They just collect what pages you visited and what browser you're using and where you live. I don't think they collect stuff like your ISP, etc.

I'm actually using classic Firefox, although I've been known to use IceWeasel. The gradient you see (which is why, I assume, you though I was using IceWeasel) is one of FireFox's personae.
