Does a block like that exist?
And if it does, would it take the audio only from YouTube videos, or would it just go into your documents and find a .wav?

It would go to a scratch-compatible audio file and import it.

And would this work on the site? Because there wouldn't really be any use for it if it wasn't

Look Wave-OS Beta why do you need all these blocks?
Offline
What Johnny said. There wouldn't be a point because you could just import sound normally

Because I'm making a mod.

That could be abused.
Like linking to your own site with a bad sound, then when someone reports it you could just change your site to change the sound, and since the project stayed the same, the mods will think it was a false report.
It will only be any good if your mod does not even upload to its own site.

This would be extremely hard to do, because all it does is find some online file that scratch can use. It would be like an internet browser, not to mention, you can just download it yourself if it's Scratch compatible, then import it

Oh... Lol. I haven't worked on it for a while... Most of the blocks in your mod are just shortcuts to the "Paint Costume" button or "Record new sound". There aren't many that I can put in the java player.

Yes, I will work on it but my routers broken so I have to use a different computer without anything on it (Dropbox, Scratch, BYOB...)

I see no need for this, do you see any main stream games which use sounds stored on a website? Getting text is not as wierd, but this would slow the computer down and the project, if it was an online game them maybe, but I see no need for a block like this.

I'm geussing it gets a sound from the url given, downloads it, imports it and then does nothing with it due to the fact that sound blocks have no text input to allow for non-exsistant files which bocome exsistan durring the running of the program.
