I rarely post in this forum, but I thought this might be an occasion to do so: Who do you think will reach 8000 posts first? The current standings of the top 100 posters can be found here for reference: here it is. So, we'll have a bit of a vote: who do you think will reach 8000 posts first? I'm not going to vote
PLEASE MAKE ONLY ONE VOTE! NO "OR"S!

You're posts have too much thought in them, so it's going to take you longer. My guess is FMT.
You know it's because of the petition.
Coolstuff doesn't have the 60 second rule, but it doesn't effect his posts. Well, I still guess Coolstuff. Not Floatingmagictree...

For those of you saying it will be FMT - you seem to fail to recognize that I post an alarmingly large number of posts each day, whereas FMT does not
Just because I always speak in full sentences doesn't mean I don't post enough.
For example: I gain over 1500 posts each month. I make 51.2 posts each day.
FMT gains <500 posts each month and makes 15 posts each day.
Graph this out, the results are extraordinarily in my favour. Do you still think FMT will be the first to 8000?
(By the way, I'm less than 200 posts away from Float at this moment.)
EDIT: New rule - you can only vote once
That means no "floatingmagictree or coolstuff"!

Good luck coolstuff. But beware, do not get over competitive, remember it doesn't really matter who gets there first.

I'm completely aware - I never post for the sake of posting, and almost all of my posts are helpful anyways. Don't worry about that

Alright, alright - I still haven't convinced many of you that it will be me (sorry to get defensive here, but I'm providing you with solid facts). Take a look at this graph:
I'm the blue line, FMT is the red one.
The Y axis is the number of posts, the X axis is the number of days from now - so 0 on the x axis is today, and you can see our current point standings. The Y axis is the number of posts we have. Assuming we continue to post at around the same rate, I will pass FMT in less than 3 days - though I hear he's on vacation. And look how much earlier I get to 8000 than him. Do you need any more proof?

That's assuming that you are posting at the same rate. But, post rates fluctuate. And also, if post counts "aren't important", why should anyone, let alone a MOD be worrying about them. I mean, let's think reallistically here. Does it really matter in the long run who passes 8000 posts first.
(No, I'm not doing that 5 sentences thing.

I suppose you're right... I'll stop providing you with these facts if you'd like. Sorry about that
My goodness, I am getting obsessed. What's happening?
You know, I actually don't care who reaches 8000 first - I just would like people to think I'd get there first.
Also, the daily post counts I took are from 30-day averages, so they aren't biased all that much. Anyways, I'll stop... Sorry!

The X-axis represents days.
