Hey there! For ideas, you could try remaking a game (Pong is a popular one on Scratch), or an animation - if you have a favourite TV show, you could try making a mini-episode of that.
You could also look around the website to see what other Scratchers are doing - that often helps me to get inspired for a new project. 
Why not create a project for Scratch Design Studio? It's quite a nice challenge, and you have a chance at getting on the front page

Welcome! As Wolfie1996 said, remaking games are a great idea - just don't get too ambitious! I wish you the best of luck in all of your projects - and if you ever need help, just ask in the All About Scratch forum and somebody will help you. Good luck, again
