We encourage remixing in the Scratch community, since we have seen how remixing can lead to creative, interesting projects. The website includes a "Based on..." link to give credit to the original author -- and we hope that remixers will also give credit in their Project Notes. Overall, we want the Scratch community to be full of creative activity and exciting projects, and remixing helps with that.
Anybody else get this?

Moved to All About Scratch for you
Have you flagged a project for being a "copy" of another project recently? That might have triggered this message...

Hmm... that's odd. Did you specify why it was an exact copy, rather than just saying "this is a copy of <insert other project here>"
I myself have made a similar report recently... saying that the variables/costumes/sprites had the exact same names, and the scripts were identical...

Yes, I said something like
This project is an EXACT copy of the recently featured project.

If no-one is looking at it just ignore it.
But if he is claiming all the credit for something he stole and getting tons of veiws email the scratch team or something.

I didn't get that. It seems that you got it for flagging a project for plagiarism. I think you were right to do it though. Just dont flag things that dont need flagging. MAybe link to the projects to make it easier for people.

I think you have to be very specific - my brother flagged a project for the same reason and got no warning; he included a link to Lightnin saying that users were allowed to flag projects stolen without credit, and gave a lengthy paragraph on why the project should be removed.
It worked out.
