The war against Spam

Hello everybody, I must say I've noticed many people spamming lately. Once, I even encountered a link to a project supposedly a Pathing AI, but was in fact a very lousy animation! So now I'm asking Scratchers to join the Scratch Army, which is like Forum Fighters, except directed against spamming instead of trolling. Of course, since the two are related, we will work closely with the FF. If you join, you are in essence pledging to destroy spam. Soldiers of the Scratch Army help by:

1)Flagging spam comments or topics
2)Reminding spammers that spamming is not allowed
3)If necessary, informing moderators of a repeat spammer

Join and help fight the war against spam!

Re: The war against Spam

I hear FF has disbanded; the leader's gone to some overnight vamp, and the officers have all quit. Barely anyone uses the topic. Also, can I see some examples of recent spam? I haven't seen much around, but according to you, there's been a lot lately?

By the way, on your list, 1 and 3 are practically the same thing.

Re: The war against Spam

Great topic! I'm curious, however, if the apparent link to a Pathing AI was given to you by me? If it was, it was a complete accident!

Re: The war against Spam

Your cause is honorable in all ways but what source of authority do we have over the congregation. In literal terms we have no rights really to tell them to buzz off.Although I will gladly join.If I were the leader of this I would firstly watch very closely of 2nd or 3rd offenders.2nd or third offenders know better so they can be reported. But if it is just a new comer who doesnt know all the rules thats ok.Its also REALLY helpful to use the word plagiarism because ppl listen to that

Re: The war against Spam

I mean just telling them,"Please stop spamming." Simple, right? If it's on a project, and they do not respond to our requests to stop spamming, we flag.
