cool tip on pasting blocks without dragging into new sprites

I'm talking about copying script between sprites in the same project. Not that there is anything wrong with normal way of doing that but I often have really long scripts. Using the normal method then pastes the script all the way at the bottom. Which then has to be inched back up to wherever you need to use it.

Instead, drag the needed script to the left and delete it. Open the sprite you wanted to paste it into, scroll to where you need it, and then undelete and paste it in. Maybe you already know this one but I'm still kind of new and have never seen it.

Plus I'm on dial-up which is so much slower than broadband that I do not even want to compute the difference. Ie.. I'm not nearly as anti-social as I may seem sometimes, not intentionally anyway  smile  lol

Wow - I never knew you could do that! Sounds like a bit of a handy bug... Like the colour selection tool allowing you to select outside the window  smile  Way to go, Locomule!

Oh! I can't believe I never thought of this!

And the coolest use of this would be when you have to put a costume at the right number! You can't imagine how much frustration I've undergone trying to drag a costume from the bottom of a 161-costume sprite to place 59! (Just an example)

Thanks!

No, I'm not back (yet  tongue ), so pretend this is invisible.

Cool tip!
Will come in really handy for some people.

The scratch program is off-line so it doesn't matter about your internet.

I meant searching forums, downloading projects, etc. I see so much less content than most people it is probably pretty ridiculous.

I love using this technique!  big_smile  It helps a lot when moving blocks to the side; I just scroll and undelete it.  big_smile

I fall: It's a tragedy. You fall: It's comedy.
Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: cool tip on pasting blocks without dragging into new sprites

There is no broadband available where I live, for um, around 10 years now I guess? Hey, it is bad enough not having it but what really sucks is having to know other people who do have broadband yet think the cd drive is a rollout drink holder. I guess it teaches me humility in a Zen like fashion?
