Hello! Welcome to the Scratch forums. To make friends you go to someone's userpage and under their avatar, there is a link that says "add to friends". Tell me if you still need help.

I am the father of several kids. I have one 9yo who is very interested in computers. I thought about trying to teach her how to code html but I was afraid it might be boring for her to sit and code tables. LOL
I seen this awesome tool and decided to give it a try. She is pretty excited to try a new computer thing. If anyone can suggest any good projects to start her out that would be very appreciated.

There are some good sample projects included with Scratch - maybe she can try modifying them to see how they work?

Yeah, I've already read them, execpt for that new one that's apparently coming out soon. I think it's called Empire.
Anyway, when my writing skills get better, I would like to work on a book about dragons. Well, I've already started.

HI! I'm RCScratch! I have been on Scratch since June and i know most of the blocks in the Scratch Language. Scratch is EASY once you get the hang of it! I'm trying to teach my mother
Hey RCScratch! Very nice to see some new faces around here!
Scratch was really intended to be easy, when you get the hang of it It's supposed to be accessible to everyone I tried teaching my mom how to program once - it did not go well
If you ever feel the need to ask any questions - whether they be simple or advanced - feel free to ask then in the All About Scratch forum. People post in there a lot, so you'll probably get an answer within a few hours.

Hello Everyone. I am New to Scratch.
Most the projects I looked at so far were not very helpful when it comes to making a game in Scratch. Would someone please point me in the direction of some nice complete tutorials or full games with easy to learn code that I can alter?
I'd like to make a nice side-scrolling game of the Super Mario Bros. or Sonic ilk.

It might ... I'll take a look thanks!

Hello all! Name's Dan and I'm just broadening my horizons. Coming from Game Maker(the YoYo one) which was difficult for me to work with. Hopefully this helps me get better at game development:)
