It's not about Japan competing, it's more about illusionist going back on his word.
They should be allowed to compete, as are we, the Moldavian Aurochs.

"Authority?"
Illusionist, this is just crazy.
For once, I actually have to agree...

Allow me to make an offer then-
I will give you a free ride in my epic time machine to the moment of The_Stranger's "Disappearance". You will have two options:
To take an undersized team penalty, OR take Subh as a replacement.

I'll send you back to the Cretaceous period if you don't watch that tone missy!

undersized team is 10 points- hardly anything when the team is as talented as Moldova.
I'll be back in a couple of hours.

People, a proposal has been made. Try not to get sidetracked by petty squabbles.

Sorry, I might have missed that. What is the proposal? Are the Olympics continuing normally?

We accept. Welcome to the team, Subh
Now, i'm leaving for a few hours too. Illusionist, we still need that banner

Yes. The Moldovians are back!

I'm glad the Olympics are getting back online.
For the next (Years?) olympics, it would be good to spend some time thinking about a structure that will work best to address these kinds of disagreements. In creating the structure (which should be done on another thread), it will be important to think dispassionately - what is a fair system for organizing something as large as this? What exactly are the rules? How will disagreements / confusion be sorted out?
For the parties that feel injured, it may be tempting to blame the issues on one another. That is less helpful, as problems and issues are rarely so simple as that. The system you design must handle these situations and many more complicated ones that will arise in the future.
Now - another issue that seems important has to do with why we ask that community members avoid being disrespectful to mods, even when they disagree with them. I'll make a post about that tomorrow on another thread, and welcome the participants in this discussion to join.

What about non mods? Can we be disrespectful to them if we don't agree?
See, that there's sarcasm. I can do it fine without quotation marks.
I think being respectful to people even if we don't agree with them would go under common sense. Not that we were doing anything wrong to illusionist, although it may seem that way

I don't know what that means. Let me get back to you once I consult a dictionary.
I now know what it means.

Sorry, but the deadline for making or entering teams was the 24th.
