I hate it that people are against art, but I have one solution for this: Put the art all in one project with scripts! You could have the viewer press the space key or click the screen or something like that to make it go to the next drawing. It saves computer memory (So you don't have to make individual projects for each drawing), and it makes these bigoted, anti-drawings-on-Scratch people stop this war and make peace! Since I made a solution, mods may close this now.

What annoys me is how there's like 50 Warriors characters plus the thousands of fan ones on here and all the players can keep them straight. >.>
Anyway, this will be closed when a moderator sees it.Maybe we just have good memory. I keep almost 40 catsstraight.
Well, more...
Btwif you complan about art, it means you're not good ^^ Be lucky I'm on my dsi so It'd take too long to rant.
No it doesn't. It's just I would like more people to program, which is what this site is about! I'm not saying "ZOMG STOP MAKIN DIS IT WEEL KILL SCRATCH" but really now?

I love how like, one person agrees with me.

I semi-agree. I can take a little art. In fact, I can take art, period. But I need to say, it's getting beyond the pale.

Have any of you notced that the place is getting bombarded by still Anime art? It's OKAY, but come on, whatever happened to PROGRAMMING? Most of these have no scripts at ALL! At least add MOVEMENT! Come on! Also, the current curator is bombarding the front page with it. Blarg.
I WAS ABOUT TO POST A TOPIC ON THAT!
We want diversity on the front page. Can't you programmers stand a little art? I mean jeez. It's. Not. That. Big. Of. A. Deal.
...what diversity? I got out on the front page, and I don't see ONE thing that couldn't be done on DeviantArt from leebee's selection. WHERE'S ALL THE EFFORT GONE? One is just a weird RICKROLL thing!

...That's basically what I said.
Also, "bigoted, anti-drawings-on-Scratch people"? There's nothing wrong with art, but if it's not going to be interactive, it's really out of place on a site meant to teach programming concepts (this isn't biased, it's the truth).
Whatever, I'm stopping since I'll probably just end up getting banned. And the topic's pretty much over.

Yes, but come on! Really? I don't think this site is about still pictures. I don't think our current curator realized this...
We do not have to just do programming.
Imagine-program-share
?
And it's still art, but with programming thrown in. Maybe an animation, or slideshow like above?

Listen guys. There is no "right" or "wrong." These just is or isn't.

This discussion has happened a few times already.
Let me clarify some things:
Scratch is for everyone who wants to express themselves creatively.
It's ok if you don't like the current curator's selections - just be patient and respectful. As you know, the curator position is not permanent, so in time we will have a new one.
Re: Front page. There's been some discussion amongst the Scratch Team about the problem of different sub-communities preferring different projects, but there's only one front page. We try to ensure there is some diversity, so that everyone will be likely to find at least a few projects they are interested in.
Ultimately I think we need to find better ways for people to find new projects that more closely match their interests. There's some discussion about changes to help improve this in Scratch 2.0. We haven't come up with an explicit plan yet, but just so you know, we're looking at it.
In the meantime, be patient. Remember that Scratch is for lots of different Scratchers, and that no one kind of Scratcher can say what is or isn't a valid Scratch project.

Hmm...yes, good point. I just get a little frustrated that people who make GREAT things get trumped by little drawing things. Sorry if this caused any inconvenience. Maybe Scratch 2.0 could help with people being able to see a wider range?

Blame the scratch team. You actually have a valid reason now (curator).
And if somebody actually posts a good self-made anime style animation, I'd like to see it.
