Fed Up

I don't want to offend anyone with this post but if I do please understand my point oh and read the whole thing too before you post, so here goes nothin.

I'm tired of seeing projects saying I'm gonna quit but If I get 1000 views and 300 love its Ill stay. I'm pretty sure that the first two ones were serious but these new ones... not so much. If you are serious you could make one of these and I wouldn't care but if you aren't ... nobody likes an annoying publicity stunt. Another thing about this is that these projects are still on scratch even after their goal is met and a lot of those end up being in the top viewed section... DELETE THESE PEOPLE! The reason the top viewed and top love its are there are for enjoyable games (or animations) that are fun or cool, not these I'm gonna quit projects. I'm sure a lot of people disagree with me and I don't want to offend anyone and I don't want anyone to quit, but please if your thinking about making this type of project follow these guidelines.

Note:(there is a difference between real projects like this and publicity stunts and you know who you are)

Re: Fed Up

Posting on the forums is another way of giving them attention. One way of discouraging some kind of attention seeking behavior is by not paying attention  wink  On the other hand, having a harsh negative reaction towards them could create a negative environment which is something we don't want. If you don't like some kind of project  simply ignore it (as long as it is not inappropriate in which case you should flag it as such). Find those projects you enjoy or Scratchers whose work you like and collaborate and interact with them  smile

Re: Fed Up

I find the "bullying" is just some people saying that their project isn't very good. it's okay though. I think people lying about their opinion to not hurt somebody's feelings is stupid. I don't mean that you have to tell a 6 year-old his art is horrible, when it's just not as good as yours. I mean telling people the truth about their projects. I think people take negative critisism to personal and call it "bullying"....

There. I'm done my little rant.

Re: Fed Up

Honestly though these people have to just quit doing this. If we just ignore them they might quit Scratch, but is it really that big of a deal? The person was obviously not that dedicated to Scratch in the first place. Once other people see that these "publicicty stunts" are not getting any attention, they will stop doing this.

Re: Fed Up

If people are pulling publicity 'stunts' on Scratch then apparently they don't know that...Scratch is a programming language. 0.o
