A feature I need...

Hi all. I recently aquirred a mass of bionicle sprites, but, they are a pain to recolour. If anyone could point me towards a free, safe(virus free), paint/sprite program that has a feature that allows you to replace one colour with another colour, It would be appriciated. Thanks!

Re: A feature I need...

You could try GIMP (Search it on google  wink  )

You can use the "magic wand" tool to select an area of one colour (hold shift down while you are selecting to select areas that are not touching/are different colours, which you want to colour the same colour)

Then, go to the fill bucket, and tick the "fill whole selection" box, instead of the "fill similar colours" box  smile  Then, fill it in, go to the "Select" menu, to select the whole image again, and repeat all the instructions so far, until the sprite is recoloured to how you want it  smile

If you find that the selection tool isn't accurate enough, try opening the "magic wand" tool, and pulling the "threshhold" slider to the left  smile
