Being able to delete a topic after it has been closed.

You should be able to delete topics after they have been closed, like if a mod closes it and you don't want it there anymore.

It can't be done, even if everyone agrees

Why not? Is it just because of FluxBB?

Re: Being able to delete a topic after it has been closed.

Just checked, you can report posts in a closed thread. Report the first post and ask for a mod to close it.

If it's closed already, why would you request it to be closed again?  tongue

Re: Being able to delete a topic after it has been closed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (perhaps the forums have changed bit for regular members), but I believe this already can technically be done.

Any thread can be permanently deleted by simply deleting the first comment in that thread. This would mean that the thread owner could potentially delete his/her thread by deleting his/her first comment in that thread. Now, unless the 'delete' link in the first comment is unavailable to it's owner after a thread is closed, the thread owner should still have the capability of deleting his/her own thread.  smile

Normal users can't delete their topics once they've been closed.  smile

We could just report the topic post and ask for it to be deleted...  big_smile

So the 'delete' link goes missing, then? I originally though it was still available; oh well, guess I was wrong.  tongue

You're a mod. You see delete links on closed topics. We don't.  yikes

We see the delete link on all topics  tongue

For now, you could I guess just ask a moderator to delete it - though I'm not sure if we'll comply, I don't know what our policy is for deleting posts.  smile

Actually, come to think of it, we (or at least, the new community moderators) don't see delete links in the recently archived forums...
