Cookies would be interesting, but I don't see how they'd be intergrated into the normal scratch.

Normally people say bump instead of reply, because saying reply sounds like you're desperate, but saying bump means that you wan't to bump the thread up.

Re: improvements for scratch

Hmm...I have an idea! What about a separate with posts about codes. Like, "Gravity Block Code" or "Movement Code" or even "3D Platformer Reality Engine Code". That way, New Scratchers could learn some stuff that the old timers knew (I had to download a few projects to find out the code for gravity), and it wouldn't be that easy, because you have to learn how and when to put your gravity script in

Error:Signature could not load. Please wait for an indefinite amount of time, until you realize you're gullible and go off to look for another potentially interesting signature to stare at.

Something like Scratch Resources but for scripts? I think I've suggested this before - it would be a spectacular idea, really would've helped me get started programming (take a look at how bad my first project, Blitz, was - I'm surprised it got featured).

@hdarken:
Please stop spamming smileys. It clogs up screens and slows web browser load times. Thank you, and Scratch On! (I sound like I'm playing Pretend to be a mod on the TBG forum)

I've often wished I had such a block!  It would have made a lot of my projects much easier to make.  The Scratch designers always have to balance increased functionality with increased complexity.  They really don't want to add another block unless they are sure the block is going to be useful in a lot of different types of projects because they don't want to make Scratch too complicated.  I'm really surprised they even gave us the If On Edge Bounce block.  But I sure would have liked your block idea  smile

Of course, it also gets pretty complicated...what does it mean to bounce off of a curved sprite surface with another curved sprite surface?  The physics gets pretty complicated...maybe it's too math intensive for Squeak, I don't know.

It does get very complicated I have had a lot of dificuilty with making the objects bounce and it would be a good idea if it would work.  smile
