I made a new Scratch forum called Scratch Forums Less Limited. It contains less restrictions than the real Scratch forums. And it's pretty much just a whole miscellanious forum split into different categories. Check it out!

That's got nothing to do with Scratch.

Are non-Scratchers allowed on it?

Why would you need to say it? Also, there is already ScratchTeens.

You aren't allowed to say c**p. Which I find unfair.
Is avoiding that word so difficult? I don't think so. Is using it a benefit? No. I think one important part of Scratch is how it's kid-friendly, so not using words like these is just a generally good habit - it's good for your character

Why is that necessary?

Because we might want to say it about something. And it's not even a big deal bit Scratch treats it like it is.

It just sounds really stupid.

What do you mean, I think it is a big deal. If it didn't matter the scratch team wouldn't have put it there.

Agreed. Do you really need that to express what you're trying to say?
Just be glad the rules aren't as strict as suggested in this thread

Well 10-15 is the average age of the kids on Scratch, but for every 10 kids allowed to say it at that age there is like 1 or 2 who are not. And that's for age 10. I know because I am a ten year old.

can you image a 4 year old saying that word? and who do you think would get blamed if the kids parent's heard him say it?

Why are you so obsessed with swearing?

Look at it this way, imagine you are a 4 year old kid. You've just found these cool forum things on a website. you read the word c**p and, as a 4 year old would do, you go and tell everyone you know, about this new word...
Cool website by the way.

Do you just go on scratch to swear? Do you like swearing? It seems like it. There is no reason you would ever NEED to swear on a programming site for kids! And tha site doesn't seem like a scratch forum. It seems like a media & music site! Scratch is not as strict as you say.

My parents say that when I was younger, I came home from my grandparents' house swearing one day. Apparently I picked it up from my grandpa.

I am NOT trying to be rebel and cool. You like TheExplodingCheez, and HE says c**p in his videos. So if I decide to use it in one of my videos, you'd give me a real hard time about it sounds like. But you're just fine when it comes out of TheExplodingCheez's mouth. That's what it seems like. And if he uses it he doesn't think it's wrong, just like me.So you can't meanly accuse me of trying to act rebel and cool when one of your favorites could be the same.
