Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

We upgraded the software that runs our forums from an old version of PunBB to the latest version of FluxBB. The upgrade shouldn't be noticeable since it's only a (important) security update.  Please let us know if you find anything weird.

Thanks.

Re: Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

Zachandrew was saying something like people's pictures disappearing. I don't know what he meant or if it had to do with the forums, but you never know (actually, you might, but I don't)

Re: Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

Here are some weird stuff happening:

1. All pictures deleted
2. All projects looked flagged
3. Code at bottom (not in forums)

the forums are called http://hanxu.scratch.mit.edu/forums. when you go back to the scratch website it is still hanxu, which is really messed up.

Re: Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

What is Hanxu? Now when I go to that version of the site, it looks normal, and re-routes me back to this version. Is hanxu the server, or what?

Re: Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

Some user information (such as date registered, number of posts, etc.) and the Quick Post spot disappeared. Does this have something to do with the forum upgrade?

Re: Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

Yeah, I just noticed the quick post thing being gone. Is this permanent or a mistake?

Cause I used it alot and I liked all of that info stuff being to the right of it.

yuppie-O, The post thing was nice because you could see what type of post they like to post on, if they're helpful, rude, nice, or just chatty. Also, seeing what time they signed up at was helpful, too.

Aww. You cannot even see how many posts YOU have now. I think you should at least be able to see that......I think Bluestribute was going for a record. He had over 2000....

I concur. It was interesting to see how many posts the average user had, and to see all of their posts too. I noticed "online users" was taken off the forum home too. Newest user is the only thing that relates to users that is still there. I also noticed you have to click "post reply" to make a comment on a topic. That is not as problem for me, but it is another change I don't particularly like......

Whoops! Never mind! I can see it now. It was hidden on one topic, even though it had not been closed.

Re: Forum upgrade (not visible changes)

I just saw that all the stats at the bottom were gone except newest forum user. And they really need to get rid of this 60 second thing. I posted in a completely different topic like 30 seconds ago  mad

Me neither. I also saw that now you can always see who is online or offline from threads and posts.

60 seconds was there to prevent useless spam, if it took ya less than 60 to find another topic and reply, it is not even worth being shown at all.

But a second ago, I was trying to help this person, but since you posted here, I couldn't. It gets really annoying. And I have to wait again because I posted somewhere completely different less than a minute ago. It is way too long to wait
