Pet Compression

(What an unfitting title.)

Well, lately I've really been pestering my parents for a pet, but they keep saying no. It's getting really frustrating. Well- actually my mom said we could possibly get a hamster. To be honest, I'm not huge on that. I mean, they're alright, but not really a super social pet. I was thinking of a cat, rat, or ferret. And here's why NONE of those will work:

*My parent's are both allergic to cats.
*My mom is totally disgusted by rats.
*My mom says we're not ready for a ferret.

...  sad  Any suggestions on another affordable pet I might like?

Re: Pet Compression

Ughh my parents are the same way.
I managed to get a bird though  hmm
My dad wants a dog, and so do my sisters and I, but my mom is 'allergic' so she says. But my Grandmother told me she's lying XD
Sooo how about a bird? (Honestly, I'm not too fond of my bird. All of my friends seem to love it though)

Hmm, maybe 2 parakeets.....

Chinchillas are really expensive, Max.  roll  My dad took care of one though. They're so soft.

tortoise, I have one, easy to feed, not hard to exercise, not hard to clean up after, sometimes small, no hair, no fur, can't escape easily, no noise, it is a good pet

Re: Pet Compression

Fish, gerbils, mice, house rabbits, stick insects, snakes, lizards, iguanas, geckos.

If you want wanna those lol.

You could always make up your own 'imaginary friend' in your own fantasy. This usually involves lots of writing and drawing. But do it well and you'll be famous (like Skailla lol). Well she's something like that...

Or you could just go to the zoo more often or something o.O

Take a trip to Kenya!  big_smile

EDIT: Don't forget farm animals xD

Re: Pet Compression

Get a nice chameleon or something. Or maybe a toad, then you can feed it all those flies that come around in summer

Re: Pet Compression

I managed to pursuade my parents to let me have fish, but they're not exactly cuddly. What's wrong with a hamster? I'm not even allowed one of them.

Re: Pet Compression

So, do you think a cat's poop would be better? They go inside a giant sandbox and then you gotta scoop it all. It's a time consuming task. Not to mention disgusting. I hold my breath every time I near the cat's litterbox

Re: Pet Compression

Get an iguana or iguana-type lizard. ^^ I used to have a dragon - they're very cute, although not exactly social.  hmm

You can't get a cat, rat, dog, ferret, or any type of rodent, so I think the best choice for a social animal would be a parrot.

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Get a snake. A tiger snake would scare people a way. I've been within 1 meter of a wild one..

Re: Pet Compression

A bird would be good. We had a cockatiel and they're really cool. We had to give him away because of our cat though.  sad

The problem with birds is that they can be messy too.

Re: Pet Compression

How about a tribble!?
http://reactorfire.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/tribbles.jpg
They're cute, cuddly, don't make a mess, and even purr!
Just don't feed them too much or you'll be saying, "They're multiplying like tribbles!"
lolxD
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribble
or watch the Star Trek episode, "The Trouble With Tribbles"
XD
