Re: Windows 7

I got my laptop for Christmas with Windows 7 on it and it's awesome!!! Having it for 7 months and looking at a PC World mag article really helped me get to know its features. And I use it to play an old RTS released in '97 for Windows 95!! (Anybody know what I'm talking about?  wink  ) And for those who think that 7's UI is horrible, there are probably plenty of third-party tools that tweak the UI. Restoring the Quick Launch bar is another thing though, you either use shareware to do it or do some registry hacking... (I could go on blabbing for days about this kind of stuff, so don't get me started  tongue )

I have nothing against Mac or Linux. My dad uses Linux regularly to update his website that he built from the ground up, and I would love to play around with a Mac of my own (I always played around with the Macs at school). I think Windows, Mac and Linux all have their own unique features and caveats, and they're all awesome.

Aw man, I wish I could do something like that!  tongue  (I'm actually thinking of starting my own computer aid service 'cause I like to help people with their problems  big_smile )

Yawn.

Re: Windows 7

I used a test of Windows 7 for IT professionals.  I'd have to admit, it's really good.  It looks good!

So do I. I love snap and shake. I like full transparency even with a maximized window.

I also have Home Premium, and the snap feature is very helpful when Scratch (always) opens not maximized.

Snap is useful when I'm trying to copy one file to somewhere else.
Shake is useful when I'm using the desktop with another program.
Libraries is useful for organizing files.

Re: Windows 7

I want Windows 7, but my cpu has the bare minimum specs to run it. No way I'd want to bog it down like that. XP works well for me.  big_smile
