For the record, I don't care either, but your argument is invalid. Not for whatever reason Joe said, but once I give mine, he'll probably tack onto it.
Having a higher post count has nothing to do with the front page, if it did, Tonk's projects or even mine would be on there every day. It doesn't even give any notoriety in the forums, unless its a new member who hasn't seen your "stupid" posts yet.

Well, there is a way to speed things. Make a topic for every post count. Of course, once word of this discussion gets out, the Scratch team will assume that we are doing this to get rid of the counts and make a lot of people miserable, and then decide to keep them in. Yeah, stuff usually goes that way

If we were actually more stricter and harsher towards these kinds of topics instead of 'contemplating removing post counts', the problem would be resolved quickly and more painlessly.
