I had enough to buy the upgrade, so I got it in downloadable version from the Microsoft Store. And it successfully upgraded! Well, right now it's done installing Windows 7 but right now it's copying files/programs/etc.
Die vista!

I could answer that if you want. But how it is depends on what you want from it, if that makes any sense lol.
how is it overall?

I think it's better than Vista. My sisters' laptop has Vista, and I like Windows 7 a lot better.

I did a Vista -> XP downgrade because Vista crashes and 7's UI is terrible. Although I really don't use my PC that much anyways because I have 2 Macs, and Apple pwns Microsoft.

Win 7 rules! All other OSes S.U.C.K. It has the beautiful GUI of Vista + some improvements, but is as reliable as XP. As for Mac, I have problems trusting something that is based of the same code as Linux.

No, It's built off of Unix for a secure, crash-resistant platform. (How often do you hear of Macs crashing?) Other than that, it is entirely made in Objective-C, the Object oriented version of C. Linux is COMPLETELY different.
One thing I like about Windows is how open it is, I mean how you can access the raw DOS that runs it all, and boot off other disks (which you can do on Macs too.) At work today (I'm being a temp employee at the place my mom works at, and I'm only 13!
) I was working with the IT team to baseline the new student tablets, and I also got to wipe the old ones. It was surprisingly fun.

Oh, so that's why you got Windows 7...
Macs don't crash as much a PC's do though...
