I have seen a lot of arguments about Mac being better than Windows, Windows being better than Mac, Windows being made before Mac, etc.

But do these people really know for sure about this? First I will answer these questions, and then back it up with the (extremely brief) history of personal computers.

So, which was made first?      Despite popular belief, Macintosh was actually made a year before Windows.

Which is better?      Well, this is more of an opinion. I prefer Macs, however there are things that I feel are better on Windows computers. Honestly, I don't care.

The (extremely brief) history of personal computers

IBM started pretty much everything with their supercomputers (which at the time where lame compared to the computers we have now).

Then, Apple, Microsoft, Xerox, Ubuntu, and other companies where all making their own text based Operating systems like DOS, these were not good for much more than organization and programming.

Next, The same companies started making more complex OS's because of the invention of the mouse, with things like buttons, tabs and lists.

Later, Apple pioneered the 'desktop', drag-and-drop interface, menus, and multitasking with the Apple Lisa, the first more modern looking computer.

Soon after, Microsoft and Apple added to this idea and made Windows and Mac OS, which had differences, but were mostly the same, and had many advancements from the Apple Lisa.

Finally, These two Operating systems were revised and updated to the way they are today, Mac OSX Snow Leopard, and Windows 7.
