Like button for the website?

Yea, yea, I know. I spend way too much time on Facebook. Ideas?

Re: Like button for the website?

Liking reminds me too much of facebook o.O maybe there should be a rating system like they have on newgrounds, from 0-5...or maybe just a thumbs up button like on youtube, accept without the thumbs down; just so nobody gets discouraged

Re: Like button for the website?

The Scratch Team have already disapproved of the rating system, and we already have the Love It! button. I was thinking more for comments and stuff.

Oh, I support! It would be great to see which comments people are more supportive of - and then, like Youtube, they could list the highest-rated comments at the top.

Maybe (s)he means a button to "Like" Scratch in Facebook.

Re: Like button for the website?

I mean, I support the comments thing, and nobody would feel disappointed if their comment got a -1, because if they got it, they probably deserved it.

Though it might lead to a lot of flaming.

That was what I thought at first, but his/her previous posts contradicted that. Besides, you can always try actually searching "Scratch" on Facebook.

You can already do that.

I love Scratch!

See I needed a like button right there, because I like that comment.

Re: Like button for the website?

Unfortunately, I fear that the ability to "Like" a comment will just lead to the same problem as on YouTube - people post comments requesting "Thumbs up" if you agree. Which gets annoying when it happens on every single popular video; it's spam plain and simple. Kinda like people that post "First comment"
