******File won't upload, but file size isn't over 10 MB! HELP!******

Hey guys,

I'm really hoping you can help me out with this problem. Whenever I make a project, I check to make sure the file size is below 10 MB, plus, I turn off Windows Firewall to make sure it'll upload - yet Windows Firewall allows Scratch through it - so it still won't upload whether I have Firewall on or off. I can't figure this out! It's like this for all my projects!! They just won't upload!

If it's close to 10MB it might not make it through.

Otherwise, maybe this topic can help you out. It gives a number of possible solutions  smile

ok well try compress sounds and images in the edit menu and then try again.

Nope, you have to check the box that says "Compress sounds and images", but it's checked by default.

Yes, I compress the file. And the file is only 1.85 Megabytes.

What error message do you get? It's the "File too large" one, right?

Hm... Did you look through the thread I mentioned earlier? It may have a possible solution.

If that doesn't work, I really have no idea what's going on.

When i get (failed unknown reason) i share it then share it again quickly about 5 times what a minute and one will up load. smile

Have you tried sharing it from any other computers? Try going to somewhere else - like the library or your school - and sharing your project from there.

are you using a mac because I heard mac's don't upload as well ( if I'm wrong sorry mac users no offense)

Macs upload just fine - I don't think there's any kind of an issue with Macs. I myself have uploaded countless projects from a Mac  big_smile

Okay, sometimes that happens to me because I type in the wrong password. Try re-typing your username and password and try again.

Macs upload just fine - I don't think there's any kind of an issue with Macs. I myself have uploaded countless projects from a Mac  big_smile

I think if you're not an admin you have problems... I don't know because I'm admin on my mac...  big_smile
