Re: Dc...

I thought they only sold them on eBay nowadays, and only collectors buy it, since it has no games

Re: Dc...

Just wondering, why there are games on that list after 2002 if SEGA discontinued the Dreamcast in 2001?
Almost 90% of those were only released in Japan

And can be bought online via ebay, just like the console itself. They are still games released for Dream Cast

There are? I didn't know that.
Anyway, the cartridges light easily. I would rather not risk a housefire.

Cartridges? Dream Casts use Discs, plus if you don't want your console to catch fire, dont leave it on,

Yeah, and Blade-Edge, if you're like every other normal person and only leave your console on when you're playing it, I think it would be pretty hard to leave a fire unnoticed.

Re: Dc...

..I just read all that.

You guys seem to be getting overly defensive over something that's sorta feeding off of nostalgia. While the Dreamcast may have been "ahead of it's time", that time was about 10 years ago, and better things have since arrived. Heck, when you look at discussion threads about the Dreamcast elsewhere, it's compared to the ps2, which has since been redesigned into the ps3...

The fact that the Dreamcast's only life left is underground breweries and eBay means that while most of the world has moved on, there are still those who never grew tired, pretty much boiling down to that this argument will never end because neither side will budge.

So back to normal conversation,

I had actually never heard of the Dreamcast before this thread. I read it pioneered online gaming  yikes

Re: Dc...

I still own one, and still play it time to time. Buy it now.
Most of the games were good...
