Ooh, I think we have a winner...

So far, he's the best of them, all, and not just because he's the only one to post a project so far  tongue

Re: Team Antarctica Scratch Summer Olympics

Not to make anyone feel bad, but for now (unless someone comes up with the most amazing project ever that would knock the socks off of all archmage's projects and illusionist's space war 4, which I doubt) 16Skittles gets the spot!

oh, FYI illusinist, this was made mostly before that date. but this isn't a project for the competition, but it is a project to get me added to the team. Think of it like an audition. If it goes taking some points off, I will delete it.
Edit: woot!
Edit2: what is our next project plan?

Well, me and adventurest were talking about a racing game.

We could add unlock-ables and dood-dads like that.

Re: Team Antarctica Scratch Summer Olympics

I have some sprites made for a racing game (we started working on it yesterday at 1:00)

It could be top down with AI?

Re: Team Antarctica Scratch Summer Olympics

hey guys!  I've made a deal with Illusionist for the Scratch Olympics, a deal that will allow all of the teams to spend more time focusing on creating projects and less time on music!  Me and the talented bunch of people in BOOM Music can now make music for all teams in the scratch olympics, simply pick a song that we've made in the past or request something new, each of our members specializes in a different genre so you have plenty to choose from.  remember, if you don't find what you're looking for you can request a new song! and good luck to you guys too!  may the best team win!

also lol, antarctica

We might ask for music from you, or I might make my own with adventurest, it depends how much time we have  tongue

you don't have to worry about breaking rules because we're an official Olympic resource, we've also got dingdong and technoguyx creating music too.

Re: Team Antarctica Scratch Summer Olympics

So... What are we doing?

I like the racing idea... Maybe scrolling? I can make a great scrolling base, I pride myself at being *rather* good at scrolling.

This is the only scroller ever that I made in about 5 mins: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/iTest-747/1117972

Remember: I made it in about 5 mins. And I did everything myself.

So... Go or no go? I can upload it today!  smile

How about a game where you try to build bridges of a certain strength?

Re: Team Antarctica Scratch Summer Olympics

AI test can be found here
I'll finish this later, but I need to go to our ice rink to try out my new skates. The basic idea is, there are two points for each curve. the"target" sprite goes to a random distance between them. then, the car (or ball, in this case) points toward it and moves in that direction. I need to improve the turning, though.  wink  Also, I didn't forget the banner illusionist  wink  I wish the Wii could copy/paste  yikes

Sounds great, but your AI is very glitchy. I'll fix it and upload it to my iTest account.

well, once it reaches the last marker, it starts going like that. I blame the target sprite. if you could make a smoother turn, that would be good. I failed. PS. Are you laving for canada?

We can make more than one game, right? Then let's do this too! Maybe a kind of building blocks game, where at the end, a big weight comes out totest the strength of the bridge  big_smile
