Rules are strict enough

I've noticed that recently, some New Scratchers are protesting against bad grammer. One of them was a simple, honest, remark which he can't be blamed for. The other one, however, was horrendous.

Only the Scratch Team should be allowed to have accounts

I swear this is true. New Scratchers don't know the forum trends, therefore, they don't know that most of our community do not break rules. I think this is what happened:

then, they come here, see the not so strict rules and panic. While we can't blame them, as they do not know the trend, they must be informed of this. That is what this topic is for.

Re: Rules are strict enough

Well, I am simply trying to prevent trolling. The rules here ARE too loose. Nobody on another forum has said that to me recently. I ran through a bit of the archives and it looks like you have a troll problem. On a site where trolls pop up so often, you need tighter rules.

If you have not noticed, these are in the ARCHIVES!!!! meaning that they WERE doucumented!!!!
So therefore there was a PAST problem not a PRESENT one....  TELL the difference!!!!

Re: Rules are strict enough

There's no need for stricter rules at the moment - the forums are very safe. The moderators do a good job, and as JSO mentioned if you see something inappropriate, just report it.

What? But breathing produces a little carbon dioxide which could result in the atmosphere getting biggar and the planet burning up.

Breathing shouldn't be allowed.

Edit:
Oh (trolling there...)

Um yeah I agree.

While that may be true, nothing wrong with good grammar.

Who cares what those people think? If they swear like that then tough break, we don't want them here.

Just stop trying to change the rules, no one likes 99% of your ideas, not even the scratch team, and thats the truth, so you can either accept it or go cry about it somewhere else, because the rules aren't gonna change because someone who joined 4 days ago asked for it.

It may be true, but you don't have to be so harsh about it, like helltank said, I'm sure he has good intentions....

The truth needs to be told, stop trying to force new useless and excessive rules on scratch.

Re: Rules are strict enough

This topic looks like a way of creating and justifying argument between Scratchers, so I'm closing it.

It's fine to disagree - but disagreeing strongly or aggressively just creates conflict. If you find yourself getting annoyed to the point where it's hard to respond respectfully, take a break.  smile
