ruler

I have noticed that getting the right amounts in distance or angals can often be a long process  i believe that this could be solved with ruler when clicked a ruler would appear in the view box it then could be dragged  or turned

please post your opinion  hmm

I like it......but it does seem a little too convenient.

Re: ruler

I think it's a good idea! When Scratch-painting, I always sort of guess and check whether or not my sprite is the length I want it to be. Or at least have some indicator of how large your selections are: that could be a sort of ruler, too.

For now, you'll have to do the same - under each costume it tells you the dimensions of it.

Re: ruler

Nice idea. This would be one of the many things in which the editor could improve on.

Re: ruler

Distance, yes. Angles, no. Scratch uses pixels, so you can't really find the actual angles.

Sure you can! How else would the trigonometry blocks work? In the paint editor, it's a little different though - I see what you mean. But it would still be possible to manually get at the angles with a virtual protractor as this topic suggested.

Well, I wish you could select the size of the pen in numbers, like size 100 or size 50. I've seen another game do that, and some users managed to use the number system to create pictures exactly the size they want, resulting in discovery of cool laser effects and such
