My sisters and I share a computer, and we all have Scratch accounts. I have a feeling that one of my sisters (ChickenBobRox) might possibly get banned soon. The last time she faced a ban, it was on the forums, and since the whole IP address was banned, I couldn't go on either. Would the same thing happen if her whole account got banned? Would I still be able to access mine?

Please someone help?

I think that they don't mean to ban the whole IP address, but that's what happened last time for the forum ban.

I think that an IP adress ban only occurs in the forums. If your sister were to be banned, the only difference would be that you cannot sign up for another account on that IP address. Your account would be totally unaffected and you can login and logout perfectly fine. Hope this helps.

If it's just the account that's banned, you should have no problem continuing to log on. However, if it's an IP ban, you will not be able to access Scratch from that network connection either. IP bans are often used if there are a number of problems with different accounts coming from the same network.
To avoid any possibility of losing access to the best website on the internet, maybe you should work with your sister and see if the behavior that seems to be leading to a block can be changed. Maybe your parents can do something to help?

I was making my friend's account on my laptop and this happened too. The answer is no. your connection (mine is snowdog) will be banned for a while or forever(I don't know) you can get on from any other connection, but not your sister.

Too bad You could contact a Moderator or one of the Scratch Team and explain it to them? Maybe they could work it out. I wonder why they can't just ban the account alone.

If she gets ip banned, turn of static ip address/use hotspot shield. then log on.
But you CANT logon as your sister ever again

That's probably a little advanced for most people. And a little bit troll-ish, to be honest.

I've been trying to tell her to watch her language and stuff, but it's kind of hard because she never tells me when the Scratch Team notifies her about bad language. I'll convince her to keep following the terms of use until she quits next year.
