I think you've hit the nail right on the head here, floatingmagictree!  Yes, we have a very low tolerance for name-calling or insults of any sort.  Our goal is to have Scratch be a safe and friendly place - and insults and such do not help us towards that goal.

Some people try to use insults as a form of humor...claiming that they "didn't mean it" or that it was "just a joke".  This doesn't work very well in the text-only world of the forums.  Your words are judged by what they say - so it's a good idea to reread them before you post and see if they can be misinterpreted.  Strive always for clarity 

Half_life_2, we will usually only censor unclear sarcasm (it is not an obvious joke), but if you add an indicator your are kidding (I recommend the " " smiley), we will understand your humor and let you off.
