YOU CALL THAT A LEGO COLLECTION!? when I was younger I played with my giant collection of somewhere over 100,000 lego pieces including sets like the very first rock raiders and mars expedition, to top it off everything is color sorted
I still have B.B. and Axle

Wow. Mine's like a small box that hasn't moved for about 5 years.
I remember liking Jack Stone Emergancy or something. Especially the website (which is now gone)

Did any of you even WATCH those videos? I almost DIED at their complexity!
Heck, a ROBOT seems simple compared to those!

It's actually pretty simple. However, you are a casual builder, not a "Hardcore Creator" as I like to call myself and others like me. I myself have a pretty nice Lego colletion, with fully created structures.
LEGO Structure List (with comments)
Voyager Shuttle 5(This was based on the original moon shuttle)
Destroyerbot V4 (Yes, it is the fourth time I built it. The first Destroyerbot was too bulky)
Goldfish (No, this isn't a simple fish. It includes organs and everything)
Empire Lego Building (based off the Empire State Builidng)
As for my collection of seperate pieces, I have over 150,000 blocks, sorted by type and then color within that section. Certain "special" pieces, such as a Lego sword I got as a gift, and my "lucky" Lego piece which I keep with me to ensure success. If I really, REALLY want something to look good, usually for school or to show off with my Lego Friends, I use the lucky piece to build the structure. It always becomes a roaring success, but I end up scavenging the lucky piece and replacing it with a normal piece, sometimes destroying the structure in the process. The only structure build with it that has survived the replacement is the Destroyerbot V4, so I'm very proud of it.

I don't have that many legos, but I do have lots of motors and gear boxes. Plus I have Mindstorms NXT!
'Cept I don't use it much. The software STINKS compared to Scratch. It doesn't even have watchers.

I got at least 1 000 Harry potter bricks ( old LEGO from 2002) and minifigures. Those are pretyy rare.

So, with my upbringing the plural of LEGO has always been LEGO. But everyone else seems to call it LEGOs. Which one is it?

I remember my friend had a HUGE model of the Millennium Falcon (Maybe Death star) and we were playing volleyball in his basement (The Model is on top of his TV, made of legos.) and I hit the ball a little hard, which hit the Model, and smashed on the ground. XD

I mean hey - you can make a working PC out of LEGO:

Now ya see, I happen to have a rather large lego collection. I have a couple complete models that I didn't destroy, but most of them I do destroy, which leaves us with this, and a bit more that I couldn't fit:

Yeah. A lot, I'd say.
So firstly, I started by removing all of the non-legos like different wrappers and paper clips I found in there, as well as pieces from other lego rip-offs, like COBI and Megablocks. It takes a long time, and it's hard to get all of them. But I end up with a large bag of pieces. And it's still a work-in-progress.
Next, I'm mainly trying to actually sort the pieces. Now if you're not much of a LEGO fanatic, and just a casual builder, you'd think "Oh yeah, sorting by color! That can't possibly be that hard." Well that's not really the right thing to do. Generally, you go by the piece, and if there's a lot of it, you go by color - so only sometimes.
Right now, small ziploc bags are the only think I have to use, as well as the tiny LEGO Advent Calender compartments, but I plan to get more containers, like the ones used for fishing bait, and sandwiches, dinners, and more.
Do you play with LEGOs? How big is your collection? Do you have it messed up like mine, or organized?
More than you and i have to sort it out this week 0.o

I LOVE LEGO!
I have over 50 sets, and am lucky to have my very own Mindstroms NXT 2.0 set, and am thinking to buy another one so that I can make them interact with each other. They are amazing things to have, and the programming is like Scratch!
Try sorting that! Probably like 10,000-20,000 pieces I have!

My brother has a room filled with LEGO and it makes it very diificult to move around without tredding on some. It's VERY painful.

My brother's room can get like that xD Sometimes to the point where standing on a bit of carpet is rarer than standing on the Lego
Walking into his room just now, there's a 24 litre box of Lego in the corner, as well as Lego sets on the bookcase, finished (and half-finished) Lego models on the chest of drawers, and a few minifigures on the window ledge.
I always preferred Mecchano when I was younger, but I haven't played for it properly in years - it's currently either in the garage or in the loft. In fact, I can't really remember many of the things that I used to make with it...
I remember that I made a miniture bike with it once... I used a rubber band for the chain, I think

My brother has what seem to be 2 of the same model. He insists thier different and pionts out tiny little differences, that I could barely notice.
