The evidence points to Roran but it just doesn't seem right, he doing well on his own withtouth a dragon and it would just ruin it if he got one.

Same with Arya,

I actually think it would be a dwarf, so its the first and would hail in a new era 

There won't be a new rider. Galbatorixs dragon will be on the cover, and after he is dead all of the humans will leave across the ocean into a new land, leaving magic, dragons, dwarves and elfs behind.

Here's the thing: The dragon on the cover of Book 4 will be GREEN. Galbatorix's dragon is BLACK. Just so you know.

I really want to read the next book!  It'll be epic!  I used to think that the new Rider might be Roran or Arya, but I guess that Roran isn't exactly the right guy.  It would be cool if it were Arya, because then she and Eragon would be equal.  She already *MAJOR SPOILER ALERT* killed a Shade *END MAJOR SPOILER ALERT*, so I think they'd be the perfect couple if she became a Rider like him.

I think what you are thinking about is that Ayra distracted the Shade by breaking the Star Rose and then Eragon got the Shade... Or am i forgetting something?

I think that the elf that "bullies" Eragon in Eldest will be the new rider. Or possibly Gertrude, Horst. I like to think outside the egg though *pun intended*. Possibly the vault of souls is where Galbatorix keeps his Eldunari, and Eragon goes there? The rock of thingy is without a doubt the Star Rose, so maybe that part has already happened?

MAJOR PROBLEM WITH STORYLINE : There don't seem to have been any female riders, so maybe a female rider is more likely now?

Two things are for certain, CP HAS to update his  website sometime in the next 2 months, and that if he doesn't release teh new book this year, I will personally make sure that every single copy makes CP somehow get into Alagaesia and get killed. *hint hint*

How do you know?

I've seen a couple of possible covers online. maybe i should have said "is most likely" going to be green.    Plus it was revealed in.... somewhere i think that the next dragon is green and a male

I remember Chris said on his site that there are female riders, there just aren't any right now.  There were some in the past, though, that were probably a tad gentler and sensitive than their male counterparts, but Riders nonetheless.

yeah, it seems like a lot of people think that about the vault of souls. Elva as a rider would be scary...... o_0
