And don't worry about being late; some people (including me) didn't find the forums until ages after joining; it would be silly then to introduce ourselves. 
Other than that, the All about Scratch forum is a good place to ask questions.

Welcome to Scratch! As Chrischb mentioned, the best place to ask questions are the forums, notably the All About Scratch forum.
I found the forums at the day of my joining, so I guess that's what sets you and I apart.
