Flagging

If I were to report/flag something, would the Scratch Team recognize that I was the one who flagged/reported it? Or do they just know that it was flagged/reported?

Re: Flagging

They do know who reports things on the forums. I found this out because if you ask for your topic to be closed, they say "Closed by Request of Topic Owner".

I'm not sure about flagging on the actual Scratch website, but more than likely they do know.

Re: Flagging

Can you un-flag a comment?

I accidentally flagged a comment once on my own project.

I don't think you can D: If you get a notification about it, you could try contacting the Scratch Team, and explaining that it was an accident - I'm sure they'd understand  smile

Well, we know who sends the reports on the forums - otherwise, I guess people could report any random topic, say that they own it, and ask for it to be closed. Could cause quite a bit of chaos, huh?

I imagine that something similar happens on the main site.

But don't worry, we keep who reports what private  smile

Re: Flagging

From what I have gathered, flagging is actually quite a bit different than forum reports.

Re: Flagging

I think flags made on the main site show who did the flag to the Scratch Team; people get notifications for wrongly flagging projects, so I suppose the Scratch Team can tell who flags what...

Re: Flagging

Well, I am pretty sure when you flag something, the report gathers information. It includes the reason you gave, the project, project author, and then, who flagged it. At least, I think that would be how they do it.

But flagging and reporting both send a message to the Scratch Team including the user who sent the report.
