I'm teaching a class on making games in Scratch right now and I have a student trying to make a 4 square game (you know with the playground ball at recess) and she's stumped me.
She wants to make it so that if a player passes the ball and it goes out of bounds then that player is out of the game. How do we make it so the ball (a sprite) affects the last sprite to touch it when it goes out of bounds? We've got the boundaries set up and the sprite movement but I can't figure out how to make it identify the last sprite that touched it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Extremely helpful! Thank you very much. She ended up having to retool how her game worked as a result but that's a good thing because I think she was being a little too ambitious and overestimated the players ability to control 4 players at a time.
