When looking through Scratch Projects, if you see a project you want to keep, first you have to have your own Scratch account. Then go to the orange box and click the download text that is highlighted blue. Then a box will appear. Click open and then the project will get downloaded onto your computer's memory. Then you can see that project and edit the project whenever you want. Have fun using Scratch!

Hey Valiant,
It seems as if you are downloading a project that can't be read. Try other projects.
If it still doesn't work, there may be three causes: Your Internet connection, your web browser, or the version of Scratch you have. Reinstall Scratch, use another web browser, and check your internet connection.
Hope it helps,
Greatdane

Hello tahaarian, I can't help you too much with your issue, but maybe some others can. In the Scratch Community, we agree not to post contact info, like e-mail addresses, for safety and other reasons. Thanks

I had something to say about an old old browser...
If you are using IE6 or an earlier v. of IE, Install 1 of these browsers:
Opera
Safari
IE8
Mozzila firefox 3.6.10.
I guess I ran outta ideas now...
If you are using the opera powered internet channel for wii, that CANNOT install anything, it cannot even use java.

Add /download to the end of the address. You don't have to log in if you do it this way.

Hey BlahBlahRatSheep, do you have the latest version of Scratch (v 1.4) installed on your computer? The bad header error usually comes up if you're trying to use an older version of Scratch to open up a project made in a newer version (for example, you try using Scratch 1.2 to open up a project designed in Scratch 1.3).

1.2.1 is the oldest public version. To open all projects, you need 1.4.

Hello everyone, My name Richard West, I'm very new at this type of programming concepts. I'm looking foreward to mingle with the community in general. So far I am enjoying Scratch very much! Somehow I've answered my own question on how to post a message, just to introduce myself to the community. Happy Coding Everyone!

Above your project notes, there is a box that says "Download the ____ sprites and ____ scripts of ______ and open it in Scratch. Click on that, and there you go! You just downloaded a project!

In scratch when I go to download a project, it says to select an image file. I have one, but when I click on it, scratch comes up without the project I want to download. What do I do?
Clicking the download link automatically downloads the file to your computer. You could either double click on that file, or open Scratch first and then open the file in there, in order to view the project.
Instead of clicking on the scratch image file, try selecting the actual application file to see if it would run.
