Just like how the forums has moderators, I think the rest of Scratch should have them, too. These carefully chosen people would take down inappropriae projects, delete bad comments/tags, and do anything else to keep Scratch safe. It would especially help to stop young children from being exposed to inappropriate content, as the moderators would quickly take down the projects and such. Moderators would be active, helpful, and repsonsible users.

good idea! that would help scratch so much!

...but isn't that what we can do now? Chances are that if one person thinks a project is inappropriate, another person does. I think 3 flags sends the project to the Scratch Team for approval. But whats the need for having people to go through thousands of projects and deleting inappropriate comments? The project owners will get rid of comments they don't like.
I just think that all of the good members of the Scratch community can do this, instead of select members.
And, what if one mod takes down a project because they think it is inappropriate, but most other users think it isn't? They can't put it back on.
Sorry, but I just don't agree.

If it is a really unpopular project than odds are that not three people are going to flag it, especially if only half of it is inapropriate, or maybe the winnign picture is inapropriate. It just seems like a good idea for the less popular projects.

really, how many of these projects are inappropriate? hardly any of them. users can flag inappropriate projects and comments, and can have an ignore list. also, no one is forcing anyone onto any certain project, if a project looks inappropriate dont watch it. and if just the winning picture or part of it is bad, of course you would flag it. and if less than 3 people are watching it, there really isnt much of a problem.
