Scratch

How old is the computer? I think some, no matter how old the version is, simply can't handle Scratch. 12three and I tried to download it on some dinosaurs for a school project and it didn't work.

Here are a few questions that should allow us to understand your problem a little better..:

-What operating system are you using?
-Do you get an error message when trying to download
- - If so, what does it say?
-Do you have enough memory left on your computer?

I got A LOT of error messages. They all said that one thing or another couldn't load.

Assuming you're using Windows, right click on "My Computer" in the start menu (or get there in Windows Explorer), and select "Properties." Somewhere in the sea of tabs (might be the first one, I dunno), it tells you what your RAM is - can you tell us how much you have? And although that is what should be referred to as memory, I believe Wolfie1996 was referring to Hard Drive Space.

To check that, go into My Computer, and you should get a list of your hard drives - most people only have one. Right click on the hard drive you plan on installing Scratch on and it should tell you how much space you have left - can you tell us that, too?

Also, looks like this belongs a little more in the Troubleshooting - I can move it there for you

good luck. if your computer is slow, try going to a library and saving it to a flash drive.

I have 3 - one for TV shows, because our computer can record stuff that's on cable TV, one for hwat you'd expect it to be used for, and one for backup of the other one.

Well, I can't find anything about space. So I don't know how much space it has.

Actually, I found out that the hard drive I want to install it on 13.9 GB left. Is that enough? Is there somewhere to check how much installing Scratch will take?

13 gigabytes should be plenty. Did you try installing older versions of Scratch? Did they work?
