[Clear stamp # () ] block for 2.0!

How about this block for Scratch 2.0?

http://lh6.ggpht.com/_mXv3HQnoqXY/TDoy5exijuI/AAAAAAAAB5E/Y_nE1ZBBhVg/Untitled.png

Pretty self-explanatory.  tongue

1s1s would be so much easier with this block!

It would basically remember every single stamp that a specific sprite makes, and could clear any one of them at any time without disturbing all of the other stamps...

smile

Any comments?

Re: [Clear stamp # () ] block for 2.0!

Hmmm... my only complaint is that it would be hard to keep track of the stamps.
I think [stamp with name ()]
and [clear stamp named () of [Sprite1]]
blocks would work better. Nice idea, though.

Thanks!

Personally, I think that would be more complicated.  smile

Re: [Clear stamp # () ] block for 2.0!

Alright - I figured out where I suggested it - and it was actually in an entirely different suggestion for a "print text" function.

Here it is - essentially, you label the text you write and can clear all that - there's a great mockup in there  big_smile

I think labelling your stamps is a ton more user-friendly, and so much more flexible, than numbering each stamp.

Maybe...

Can you re-explain your idea here...?

Explain as though you are explaining to a bunch of 2nd graders.  wink

When you stamp something, you stamp it with a label.

Then, you can clear what you've stamped with that label  smile

I'd prefer clear pen of [sprite], but not a bad idea.

Re: [Clear stamp # () ] block for 2.0!

Wouldn't this cause a lot more memory required to run programs using this?

Precisely why I think labeling your stamps would be a much more practical idea  big_smile
