No messages on the forums.

This is an old bug - but really, shouldn't it be fixed? It's become habit to just click the "home" button every now and then, but I'd prefer to not have to.

You don't get a message display on the forums.

Re: No messages on the forums.

I agree with this. It is so annoying how you can't view your messages on the forum.

Re: No messages on the forums.

Last I checked, this issue wasn't a bug, but rather, #12 on the List of Suggestions that have been resolved already.

The inability to show messages in the forums has something to do with the separability of the forums from the main site (and thus, the lack of ScratchR functions, such as messages, on the forum pages). To quote a post by JSO regarding the issue:

JSO wrote:

You can't see them [the messages] because the forums and the main site look the same but well they aren't. Showing messages on the forums would require a ton of ScratchR functions and now they are perfectly seperated. You can sometimes even visit the forums when the main Scratch site is down.

Re: No messages on the forums.

Oh, I see - thanks, Cheddargirl!

How could I have missed it on the list of suggestions?  tongue  It would still be nice, but of course, it's not a necessity.
