My First Composed Song On GarageBand!

Yea, it's a song for my Sonic 4 game. I picked instruments that sounded as close as possible to the Sega Genesis sound chip. I wrote it all except for the drum loops, which came from garage band's loop section. Everything else I composed on my own. Now, it's not done. But I feel so far other than the minor mistakes, it captures the feel of Sonic music from the genesis era. Hope you like it! I'm going to fix some things later.

Along with the music, I have a executable demo for PC users. I will probably try to make a mac version if my brother will let me download scratch and all that.

SONG

Here are two songs that were the main inspiration for the song so far.

You can really here the how I used to chord progression and slightly tweaked it for my liking on this song from Earthworm Jim: CLICK HERE TO LISTEN

And here is a fan-made Sonic song by a fellow youtuber which the melody was slightly inspired by. You can also hear a very similar chord progression to the other song: CLICK HERE TO LISTEN

Thanks! I'm trying to fix some problems with it, but I think I might switch over to game maker or some thing because scratch can't handle this some of the advanced scripts, the many scripts in general. My computer freezes for a split second when I go through scripts. :\

New Edit: Demo is taken off temporaraly to make a few edits and should be back up from 30 minutes to an hour in the Show And Tell section. The topic will be titled "Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Demo".

Re: My First Composed Song On GarageBand!

The melody is really good but the synths need to be louder than the drums. Maybe you meant to have them in the background but still I think it would sound much nicer if you made the melody louder than the beat.
