Build a Block

The MIT program Starlogo tng has a build a block procedure where you use a procedure hat and then add blocks under it to make a block, i think scratch should have that.

It wouldn't be confusing, because all you'd have to do is program the block once, and then use it throughout the project!

2+3+2+(-9)+1x+2x=7

This would be one small step towards providing the ability for the programmer to write and call functions and/or methods that receive parameters and return values, a capability that is sorely needed to move Scratch forward.

Awesome idea jman720 (though not as awqesome as me  lol  ) but i'll still be you in bluestribute's pokemon contest my pokemon will crush your electroball ( though i can't really count on that cuz my pokemons' backs are very crummy and the contest isn't over yet.

Using a knowledge of Squeak and a third programming language, you could write a "translator" so people could type in Actionscript, which would be converted to Squeak and then to a block. That would be awesome!
