Yes yes, good use of alliteration. But let's get to the topic. I've noticed that many people post a comment about how much they love a project, but don't press love-it. It's only until the creator reminds them that they didn't press love-it and they say something like "oh, forgot" and then press love-it. Even though this hasn't happened to me, I propose an idea. After a comment has been added, a dialogue box comes up and asks if you wish to love-it. And why'll were at it, let's throw in everything else. So after you post a comment, the dialogue box will appear:
Anyway, this is my idea and I think it will be very helpful for future Scratching.
And with that note, Scratch on!

I like this idea too!
Although, a pop up may be too annoying, and may discourage commenting.
How about put those checkboxes next to where you submit the comments?
OR: One thing I see with FaveTags (which would replace galleries, love its, favorites.)
is that tags may also replace some of quick basic comments people make:
"cool!" "fun!" "interesting!" "wow!" "I love it!"
Instead of typing those types of short comments in the comment box, they add it as a tag or click the little star next to the opinion they agree with. (along with other describing words.)
So these short comments would do more than be a long list of short nice comments on a project page:
- The project would be added to the person's bookmarks with that short comment. (along with other tags they stared/added like "game", "racing" words that describe the project.) So the user can easily go back to all the project he/she thinks is "cool". And the user can filter their favorites to find a "cool" "racing" "game" they like, for example.
- Each tag is like a mini community/front page, so people curious in what the community thinks is "fun" can go to the "fun" tag pages, and see the "top 'fun' tagged" projects in the last 24 hours, week, month, year, all-time.
- and each tag page has "recently tagged 'fun'" so scratchers can visit the project and either agree and voted it up, or vote it up in other tags they think is appropriate.
- also each tag page has comments, so that users can discuss what is "cool" right now on scratch...

I was thinking of the checkbox next to the comment idea but then we'll just be where we started.

That makes lots of sense - but it would get annoying if, say, I were having a discussion with somebody on one of my projects.
I support, though
That's a good point, but maybe the dialogue box only comes up when an actual comment is posted, not a relpy to a comment.

Sorry, I also forgot flag as inappropriate:
It's a shame this topic hasn't progressed on.
