Change CPU usage allowance?

I think it would be pretty cool if I could change the CPU usage allowance maximum for Scratch. Scratch will never use over 50% of my processing unit, and it will freeze up if Scratch needs to use more than that. Is there a simple way I can change this?

Re: Change CPU usage allowance?

There's probably a reason for it only being allowed to use that much. I wouldn't change it if I were you.

Re: Change CPU usage allowance?

Scratch can use as much as it needs. Your problem is that your processor is dual core, this means no process can go over 50% (1 cpu).

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !

Re: Change CPU usage allowance?

The only way I know to make something work quicker is to go to task manager for the proccess and set it priority to "high" or something like that. Which would mean it will be proccessed before other proccesses. But I do see your problem. I have a dual core and when I run flight simulator it only uses 1 proccessor.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

That's not true, I have a dual core processor, and I've had things go over 50%, maybe it's because I have a Mac.

Oh, yeah that's it. Darn, I can't stand Intel Pentiums on laptops. *sighs*

How fast is your CPU? (In gigahertz)

Well, that's not that much different than mine (2.26ghz) maybe the problem is the kind of processor, because I have and Intel core2 duo.

I know! I was playing Roblox on my friend's laptop and it was SO SLOW!

Oh well. I guess you'll just have to deal with it.
